My name is Avital, I am a 30 years old lawyer from Israel. During the summer 2007 I decided to take a month and a half break from my regular life. I landed in Rome, straight in the hands of one the most professional, nice and funny teacher I have ever met. This teacher was Francesca. Francesca’s lessons are not the boring, sleeping pills we had in school! Even after a night of partying, when the only thing you want is to sleep, you can’t fall asleep. The energy that this teacher has can keep you awake for three days in a row! Francesca’s lessons emphasise not only grammar but also communication, and after one week you’ll be able to order any kind of pasta you like in a restaurant and even understand the first scene of the “opera”!

Having Francesca as my Italian teacher has been a real experience! Every day the class turned out into a stage to represent any kind of linguistic situations.
As a translator and a student, I can say that Francesca was for us like a bridge that allowed us to feel at ease in the path between our country and Italy, and not only by means of the language but also guiding us through the Italian culture and character, inside and outside the classroom.
I remember that once I started feeling somehow insecure in speaking Italian. Francesca encouraged me to try to speak without fear, explaining me that it was just normal phase in every language learning process. She showed to be a teacher that observes her students’ progresses, which is very important to make them improve.
